can the lumines be a demo?

that means i can stay on fw 3.5 but use homebrew?

No, it cannot be a demo. You must have a legally bought umd disk.
The only homebrew for this exploit now is Hello World, but soon a HEN and downgrader will come out. And do not thank me for this, you should thank the Noobz team. They have discovered this! Visit them at http://noobz.eu.

Im going to spend my day now just exploring this with my own games... Sega Mega Drive Collection, NfSMW 5-1-0, MGSA and Tekken DR

...Or with some other games! I explored a bit of this, tried to run it with my other games and found out that usually the PARAM.SFO file inside the save folder has these things: Game's name, parental control level, the place where you saved the game and two binary datas, which include the save place crypted, so the PSP decrypts it and seeks for differences in the .BIN file (usually, sometimes .00 or some other) inside the save folder, and if it has differences it will show up as corrupted data. But in Lumines game save, the PARAM.SFO doesn't include anything other than the game's name, LUMINES and parental control rating - making it impossible to be detected as corrupted data. Now Noobz have used this exploit by replacing the .BIN save file with a custom one, homebrew game or in this situation, Hello World. The PSP loads the save, it seems to be incorrupted and BOOM! There you have it, homebrews on any FW.

Whoah. Lot of stuff there. Now just looking for more games which have the same exploit.
