Re: Moovlin RPG [Released!]
Okay, I've seen your thing on quick jump. Can I ask some questions?
Firstly, why are you wanting to port to LUA? What's wrong with flash? It's the only thing those poor people without homebrew can use to get free games.
Secondly, it's a little early on. The project is no where near finished. The game looks like it needs to have its' graphics almost completely redone and in can be completed in around two minutes. Slow things down and take time because you're enthusiastic and can create high quality games but that takes time.

It's a coding language that can be ported to just about anything. Just google it.

Yes it can. It's a code used as homebrew. You run it through PSP>GAME

Re: Moovlin RPG [Released!]
Isn't lua a more basic language that PSP coders can use instead of C++?

Re: Moovlin RPG [Released!]
Actually, somebody is helping me with it.
But I decided I'm not going to port it just yet, I'll stick with Flash for now.
About the graphics, I can't really make them better without porting other images in. LIveSwif messes up importing images, So I'm better off doing the art inside it.
It's supposed to look cartoony.

Re: Moovlin RPG [Released!]
Dont use transparent images if it doesnt support them. Use the tutorial on liveswifers.org.

Re: Moovlin RPG [Released!]
or just download macromedia/adobe flash from a torrent site?
Cartoon graphics are good but there's no colour scheme or background or anything, and the animation is jumpy. If it's going to be worth porting to LUA, it's going to be worth spending half an hour or so to download the real version of flash.

Re: Moovlin RPG [Released!]
Maybe so, but if it's worth doing, then it's worth doing properly.
And if adobe want people to buy their software then they can at least charge a reasonable price for it.

Re: Moovlin RPG [Released!]
Yeah, agreed. Macromedia flash is very expensive.

Re: Moovlin RPG [Released!]
It's not Macromedia any more, and shhh! Though to be fair, I think the ease of cracking Flash etc is on purpose - no mere mortal would think of buying it when it costs so much. However, buisnesses can afford it. But if no people self-train at home and make flash popular on the web then they wouldn't. So, in a backwards kind of way, the piracy helps Adobe make money. According to me anyway
However, pspflashgaming.com does not endorse piracy in any way so no posting about how to get stuff illegally please.
