Flash viewer/selector

http://www.fileupyours.com/files/39814/flash_loader.zip
Download released!

Hey, Im working on a simple selector in flash. Works great but theres some things I want to add and fix. Right now you can see a screen shot of the basic layout. The blue buttons will have file names on them. Click them and it opens the flash movie/game. When you move your mouse over the button, you can see a description (You have to specify what it says

Re: Flash viewer/selector

Really? I hope you dont think of this as copying or anything. I considered yours more of a portal or outlet and mine more of a connection to your files. All mine is here for is getting to your files easier smile

Great! first version!
*NOTE- Your flash files must be in a folder in the root directory titled "FLASH"
*NOTE- Tell me if you are having problems or get a bug. Before you tell me one, please, read the readme and see if you followed the directions. Thanks!

params.txt example:

    &gamecount=4&
    &game1=yourflash.swf&

Re: Flash viewer/selector

That zelda demo is mighty impressive - you do it all from scratch?

Re: Flash viewer/selector

Well, I decided to branch off of the cliche "Link must save the whole world and beat ganon" storyline. Basicly in this one, Link's grandmother is sick. Very sick. You must find a few hard to find ingrediantes for a potion by going on a quest.

Re: Flash viewer/selector

I'll try to explain.
Root folder is the first one you open to access your PSP. Usualy, it's G or F

Open the flash loader folder on you PC, connect your PSP to the PC. Make a folder called "flash" in your PSP. In that folder, put your flash movies.
Put the flash_loader.swf in the root folder, as well as params.txt.
Now, open params.txt, and:
-In the first line, witch has the &gamecount=8& code, edit the number to how many flash movies/games you havein the "flash" folder.
-Edit the second line - &game1=yourflash.swf&, and replace "yourflash" to the name of your first flash movie/game.
-Edit the third line, &gamedescription1=Your description here.&, replace "Your description here" with any description you want. This is not nesessary though.
Do that for every flash you have in the "flash" folder.

Now disconnect your PSP from your PC. On your PSP, open your browser, and in the ardess line write: "file://flash_loader.swf". Tadaaa!

Re: Flash viewer/selector

Wow that Zelda demo looks cool! Just thinking, to get it longer, ever thought of adding a new .swf every time you beat a dungeon? Like it would link to the next file or something? That would be possible right?

As a note, where could I download your Flash Loader, because it's not on FileUpYours anymore...

Right.

You dont have to link to a new flash file. Then cheating would be possible for everyone. Using frames would be much better...
