Game Loader
I made this to make my life a little easier when using flash on my psp. I have it set as my homepage. It is just a simple game loader using html. To download it right click this link and select save target then put it on your memory stick. Note games have to be in the COMMON folder (they can be in sub folders though).

Re: Game Loader
Nice one Jake - I need to have a proper chat to you about the PSP OS thing, need a few modifications in the flash / xml setup etc, but once we've done a bit of work on it simultaneoustly the beta should be ready.

Re: Game Loader
em... I tries your loader, can't figure out what to do.
I placem my swfs in PSP/COMMON folder, open the browser, write: "file:/loader.html" (that's how i called it) It says: unable to display content

Re: Game Loader
I am not sure it works on mine. The only thing i can think of is that you got the address wrong as it works fine on mine. Once you get it working click the button that says select and then go in to the common folder and you should be able to load the swfs much easier.

Re: Game Loader
I ran all the tests and have tried my best to get this sorted but in truth the game loader I made is much easier to use and more useful so I am thinking of scrapping this project and concentrating on making more games and improving the game loader.

Re: Game Loader
yours is fine I was trying to make one that could search the memory stick for flash content. As the only script that I could use would be server side scripts I think I am giving up on that one. My other uses an xml menu which is easy to make if you know what your doing but an average user would not know anything about xml. Because of this I am going to concentrate on making games at the moment.

Re: Game Loader
Check the date wild8900, this project was around before you registered In fact, the 13th post on this site, back in July was announcing our intentions for a flash loader similar to the one you've made - here.
You've got yours out and released a bit faster than us mind, but ours is a little more complicated (the setup will run through this site, so users don't need to use any code).

Re: Game Loader
Sorry, I over reacted. I just felt stupid for releasing it when theres another thats easier and more eficient. The only person Im mad at is me.

Re: Game Loader
What I meant was does anyone go to this website on their psp browser more than on the PC? I kinda made a typo cause I was in class, in a hurry, on my psp. lol

Re: Game Loader
About a third of our hits are PSP based, I've written a hitcounter code that can detect if the viewer is using a PSP (hence it automatically displays the site differently)
The hits page is here.

Re: Game Loader
Maybe you could put a virtual keyboard on this website to make posts? If you don't know what I mean, I guess I could look for an example later...
