PSP Invaders

It's sorta like space invaders but really dummed down. It's so unbelievably easy to code so I may think about putting some boss levels in if i can find the time. Use the PSP's analogue stick to move the defender from left to right (please note, the game was designed so that the psp would be held on it's side) and avoid those green bombs!! after every 30 seconds of play an extra bomb spawns. the game starts off slow but try dodging up to ten of them!

Comments would be appreciated (by the way, I know the music is annoying but it's a roughly cut loop)

nice! can i put it on my website? or nano? or that mario game(if u r who made it)...  anyways i think you should make the backround quality slightly better wink

and i know this is off topic but do you know how to convert music loops into an .swf file? or know any that start that way?

Wow dude! You did this yourself? It's pretty easy, but still fun. If you want, you should ask Tallphil to upload this game to the site, so it would be there with all the other games like Jelly and PSPMan.

As of now, it's boring...
I think you should make it so that it comes ALOT more lasers shooting at you...
And maybe also make some kind of enemys that you can shoot at.
But nice!

Well I did a little bit of work on it. Unfortunately Rollinroll, the bit with the shooting is where SoulOfDarkness' game went down and I'm not a skilled enough coder to program that. I did however make a button for people like you who just want to get straight into it (it takes you to a level that starts with five bombs instead of one).

Please post constructive criticism Macaw, like Rollinroll. At least tell me why you think it's boring and i might be able to do something about it.

Yes Jax, i did do it myself (apart from the music). I was bored last night and just started messing around with a bit of code i had. I may ask to have it uploaded once everyone's happy with it.

Llamaboy123, I improved the background a bit. For some reason, flash pixelates any picture i put on there. Yep, you can host them on your site, just remember to give credit! I used Audacity to cut a loop from an mp3 file. Audacity exports its files as WAVs so you may need to convert your WAV to an mp3 in order to save space. Go to flash, file, import, import to library and select your music file. click on any frame and in the tab at the bottom it says sound. Click on the pull down list and select your file and you're done

thanks der-zef, i can make you a little webpage if you want me to with all the games you made/make[if u want me to] wink  btw if u ever find a guitar loop it would be nice if u could convert it for me (cause i cant..) .

on topic: since the psp has very low memory u should make another version without music but more things coming at you! and  different things coming also to make it a bit harder.

try making different backgrounds and music like this has a space scene try a heavy metal song and a background that matches it XD or something like that

Okay, after level ten, wider red lasers start to appear which move a little bit faster than the green ones. I can't test to see how this works because I haven't got that far in the game

worked wen i did it online but not wen i downloaded it, ill try again...  hmmm worked this time neutral

anyways a point system would be sweet, and every time you dodge one you get 1 point and if u know how to make red worth 5!  your a good coder! you r fast also... + nice website wink

Heh, I just read all the new posts in this topic and seems to me that der-zef-meister is a really fast coder. Everyone's been asking features and all for the game and he just keeps coding smile

hmmm...
I played for 3 minutes and still not level ten....
Can you make it so that level ten comes after like 1 minute?
Cause it is boring with those very easy thin green ones...
