Re: Making games
not quite sure what you mean about not making it with flash then making it with flash etc. This website concentrates on games in flash because it's much easier to make your own games in flash than it is to write full game engines etc.
The reason that linerider doesn't work on the PSP is that it has been published in a version of flash that the PSP doesn't support. It's in Flash 8, the PSP only supports up to Flash 6. So, it's quite possible to write your own version of linerider, and export it as Flash 6 with the correct dimensions for the PSP...
We've got some notes on making flash games for the psp here. There's also a brief forum post here.

Re: Making games
In short, you can't - it'll have protection preventing you from doing that, and it's sort of illegal as it's not your work. Either you email the guy asking him to make what you want (not going to happen, he's a busy fella) or you make your own version from scratch...
Sorry to be the bearer of bad news!

Re: Making games
Its possible to create flash games without using Flash 8 using an alternative authoring tool called Swishmax or Koolmoves. SwishMax works very similar to Flash 8 and requires little to no conversions from Actionscript to "Swishscript", while Koolmoves is designed for beginners. Both "Export" your work to .swf files.

Re: Making games
I doubt linerider will work on the psp, seeing that it often runs slow on computer too

Plus it's flash 8
Ye duh... Leaving that beside, it wouldn't work well at all on a PSP either
What are the major differences between flash 6 and 8 anyway?

Re: Making games
Yay i managed to log in.
I thin that linerider for PSP is theoreticaly possible - but it will be a home-made flash game, not the original one, and the framerate will be around 3-4

Re: Making games
Major differences are the ability to add filters to movie clips - eg blur, drop shadow etc. Those are the only ones i've noticed really. There are a few updates in the actionscript etc too...
