Re: To Do List

Ye that would do. It's just hard to use the analogue stick to point at tiny buttons neutral

And how do I become angry moderator like soulofdarkness? yikes

Re: To Do List

Modify Profile > Personal > Title (leave blank for default)

I'll have a look at the menu when I get a chance. The main reviews page (games > reviews in the main menu) now displays all written reviews smile

Re: To Do List

Whats going on with the reviews in Firefox? You should write it so that it works in Firefox because the css in IE is screwed up anyway. It looks even worse in Opera, it has scroll bars in the text boxes so it probably doesn't work in Safari either as Safari and Opera are two of the only browsers that actually follow the css standards properly

Re: To Do List

Games > Download > Heli - if you just click the download link, it will display just the swf, which will stretch to full screen...

Re: To Do List

I think you should check the formatting of the new news layout on the homepage in IE7, it appears to be overwriting the adverts on the right

Re: To Do List

It is evil, they have fixed some of the css in IE7 but it still doesn't work like it should. FF is still the way forward big_smile

I've had the first error you had there on FF
Not the second one though.
FF might be a tiny bit evil too =\

Re: To Do List

I don't mean that the error you had was the one with loging in! I mean that when you mistype the information, you have the same error!

Re: To Do List

Scott:
1st printscreen - just a database error, two lots of queries from the mainsite code that i've written and the forum code running at the same time with the same name, doesn't really matter - i'll try and get around to fixing it some time.
2nd printscreen - yeah, should probably test stuff properly before i release it. I've put the original homepage back up, and will finish the job before i release it again.

Reviews:
Again, i've only really half finished the job. The core of the work i've done is fine, but I need to address the display issues (good 'ol ie css incompatibility). It's a bit difficult as i need to make it flexible to work with whatever content you guys put in, but i'll get it sorted smile

Navigation Header:
I'm probably going to re-write this, so that the main nav is html instead of flash. Having used it myself on the psp, the animation runs slowly and isn't massively user friendly, so i'll probably replace it with static text which will be much easier to use.

Overall:
Having virtually no time lately, with lots of stuff to do on the site, i've attempted to do several things and haven't done any of them very well. I'll try and get my ass in gear and sort it out when i get a chance. Give me a few weeks though, I have paid website jobs which must take priority at first, as well as rowing and a girlfriend smile

Re: To Do List

Ok, I have rejigged the new homepage a little, you can see it here.

Known issues are the fact that the author/date doesn't right align, that the images don't display correctly, and that the 'New Posts' feature isn't integrated.

Other than those, breaking and suggestions are welcome smile

Re: To Do List

Looks good, seems to have fixed the problems in IE too. Not that you will be too bothered it has now broken it in Opera as you can see on the right http://www.malthousegarage.co.uk/photos/phil/3.jpg

Re: To Do List

Hmm, pants. Think i might stick with the original layout, without the red box outline, and just have the author / date alongside the title as it is now...

Objections?

New homepage has now gone live.
