Re: PSP Cam

I didn't realize it was already out, but if it is I think you can get it at walmart. I'm sure it's expensive!

Re: PSP Cam

Why would I pay over 60 euros (almost the same in dollars) for a webcam which has only 1.5 meagpixels, when my mobile phone has 2.0?

Re: PSP Cam

Although thinking my PSP as a camera, that's a cool idea... I could get bigger pics with that than my phone. Too bad Sony doesn't release a firemware update that would let the PSP to receive images from digital cameras or mobile phones via iRda.

They can't. Cause the PSP dosen't have Infrared. It uses Wlan.

It has both.

I always knew it had that... I just did a little research and it's definitely not in use yet.
I don't see any use for it except for maybe an universal remote control, as the WLAN feature is much faster at sending data, and should be used instead to transfer files...

I now remember there being a homebrew universal remote control a while back...

Re: PSP Cam

There is a universal remote control homebrew app, but it is in early stages and so it does'nt work with all devices.

Re: PSP Cam

You could get the remote control function to a mobile phone equipped with IrDA and midp 2.0 or Symbian (Series 60, 70 and 90). I have Series 60 6260v2. big_smile

Re: PSP Cam

I bought the Go!Cam today.... I've got to say, it's really cool, even though it is only 1.3 Mpix. The quality ain't that bad. It can record many hours of video. I have about 200MB of free space on my memory stick and the recording function in the XMB says that I can still take 5505 pictures and 1:04:01 hours of video. The camera can take pics in many different sizes, which are 320x240, 480x272, 640x480 and 1240x960. Also, the Go!Edit application can edit the videos and pictures in many ways, you can add music for the videos and text and distortion effects for the pictures.

I think that the device was really worth buying, and there might be even more use for it in the future, with Go!Messenger and such.
