Re: a psp running windows
This is not the real windows, so this is a joke. There is a way to emulate operating systems on homebrew enabled psp`s anyway. I can`t remember what it was called, but i tested it on my psp with DarkAlex`s Custom Firmwire 3.11 OE. I was told not to emulate Windows XP, cause it will "overheat" the psp, so i downloaded RedHat Linux(from an illegal torrent site). And launched the emulator. It worked fine, but was a little slow. Then i tried Windows 95. That worked fine too, and wasn`t so slow actually.*tired*

Eh... Why did you say that in this thread? I've never heard of it so, are you just guessing? And why should they? I don't think they'll do it because i think it's hard to understand how the flash player for the psp were made, and to understand that, they must decrypt the firmwire, and then they must find a way to decrypt the macromedia flash player 7 to find out how that's made.

Re: a psp running windows
Well, psphacks and newgrounds already made a homebrew flash player a few months before the official web browser came ... So I think they can do it

Re: a psp running windows
Yes, it may be possible but i see no point in doing it. The official flash player in the web browser supports flash 6, and i think there's a reson why. If it supported flash 7 the psp may get overheated or running very slow.

Re: a psp running windows
Well, that was posted in Feb 28th 2006 and it's the only homebrew flash player out. So, hackers aren't "soon" making flash 7 for the psp. It has been out for a long time now.

Re: a psp running windows
That's not what I meant... I just think that Sony finds that some features from flash 7 wouldn't be safe to put on a PSP, features through which people could attack the PSP's OS by just loading a code in an innocent looking flash game or something. Because as we know, you can't really fix a bricked PSP, so I guess that's what they want to prevent too.
You know they're very careful when it comes to safety in their firmware updates.

Re: a psp running windows
Yes, but why not just remove the unsafe features? I'm going to send an email to sony about improving psp's flash player, lol

Re: a psp running windows
I'm not sure why they won't do just that, but i'm pretty sure that's the reasoning behind it.
As for the real topic: I tried this thing a while back and it didn't work... Must be because it said Vista

No, you're wrong... The psp has 30MB ram. If it had 4MB ram, you wouldn't even be able to play games....

Re: a psp running windows
if you put it in the psp common you might have to write "file:/psp/common/ (what it is called if you didn't already
