Re: PSP Flash Game Portals /an idea for a html coder or flash maker!
I could try doing that, but I don't know how to save the generated code to a .html file =/

If someone tells me exactly what it has to do with example filenames and output then i can try in either Java or C++ but it depends how much time i have.

Re: PSP Flash Game Portals /an idea for a html coder or flash maker!
I've made a simple html code generating thing.... fill in the name of the swf and it'll generate the link as <a href="/flashname.swf">flashname</a><br>
But I suppose we want something fancier than just a page of links to your swfs... So if anyone has ideas, post 'em up, while I'll go find how to save it to a .html
UPDATE: It seems like I have all I need to make this programme, now I just need to work on making this an application anyone can use, and possibly to allow costumization
I'm waiting for you guys to decide the shape, layout or whatever of the .html portal because as of now it just generates a simple list of links.

Re: PSP Flash Game Portals /an idea for a html coder or flash maker!
sounds perfect - probably best to output it as xml... If you look at the XML config file that the XMBOS beta Jake made runs off and make your program output that, it'd be perfect...

if you know any html, you know the basics of xml - opening and closing tags etc. The only difference with xml is that you can basically make up your own tag names.
I'm at work now so I can't test your progress, but i'll have a look tonight when i get home hopefully.
Let me know if you need further info on the xml syntax / structuring

boo >.<
works fine for me XD
hang on
>> Here it is [Download]
Honestly didn't know you needed the other files too.. I've never distributed anything :p
I know it's still very basic but the complicated stuff is done, and generating any code should be easy. If you think there's a better way to do it, let me know. I do intend to make it possible later on to automatically copy the selected flash files to your psp
I've had a look at the xml OS thing and it doesn't look too complicated

Re: PSP Flash Game Portals /an idea for a html coder or flash maker!
Thanks! It's pretty good, and works perfectly! I love the easy GUI! Now you just need to improve the page it generates. I'll let you know if i come up with any ideas.
EDIT: Maybe you should do so that you can drag and drop files into the file box, so that you can select many files at the same time.

Re: PSP Flash Game Portals /an idea for a html coder or flash maker!
do you think you could package up the OS files within the install package, and get it to copy them to the PSP with the generated xml?
If you can, that'd be perfect!

hey jaxeir I might be completely wrong, but i think i know what youre looking for something like ultimate psp. its a portal and there are ca 130 games. And with youre problem G:/common/.... you add the links directly from the psp folder. you then get file:/common/...

sry m8 but like u guessed, it's completely wrong... i have tried that, but didnt suit for me.
But thanks for trying to help me!
btw, good job Jeffy, i think that's great!
Now we just need to edit it a bit, but that won't be so hard.
P.S. When someone of us publishes this, be sure to add a credits page. (Could there somewhere be something like "Original Idea: Janne Rönkkö (JaXeRiR)" or something? 'Coz that would be so cool to say to my friends that I have been involved in something like this!
THX!

Re: PSP Flash Game Portals /an idea for a html coder or flash maker!
Whoa,
Earlier, when I tested that PSPPortalGenerator, I was on my cousins PC at almost other side of Finland, and I used it for his PSP (Didn't have mine with me) and it worked very good.
Now, here, I just got back from my cousin's, and I tried to install it, it said
"This setup requires Microsoft .NET Framework 1.4 (or something) Would you like to install it now?"
I click OK and D/L it and install, then i rebooted and tried and the same screen still pops up. Any suggests?

Ok I tried it again by installing .NET framework 2.0 but, as I guessed, it didn't work.
Too bad.

Re: PSP Flash Game Portals /an idea for a html coder or flash maker!
I've been working on making it generate the xml for the PSP OS and so far it's working just fine. I'm still working on some of the error handling, which takes more time than the rest of the project.
New features:
I hope to have it finished in a few days... That is ofcourse if anyone is still interested :p
