Anyone wanna play Land of the Dead?

Suprisingly, this game still has over 100 players! My name on there is...you guessed it hopefully by now, MadSkeetElite. I usually play with another cool player, HowToKill. You can buy the game for about 5 bucks on Amazon. Hope to see you there! Bring your Boomstick! smile         P.S. Don't listen to the reviews! the V1.1 Patch fixes everything!

Re: Anyone wanna play Land of the Dead?

Sorry MadSkeet, I had to edit your post a bit. But you know, rules are rules ;-)

Heh, you told us not to care about the reviews.. According to Metacritic, the average score for the game is 32/100. Which is not very flattering.

Anyway, I'm going to get the game soon, cause you recommended it! I really need something good to play with my PC.

Re: Anyone wanna play Land of the Dead?

Hmmm I thought I might have broken a rule...lol, I can't tell what you edited. The reviews were bad because of bad hit detection, unbalanced weapons and dumb AI. If you download the patch, it fixes all of that. One cool thing is the Day/Night/Dawn of the Dead maps. I have them all, so when you get it, we could play them all. You downloading it or buying? Oh, B.T.W. the maps are small download size, but some are absolutely big, one was almost 2 miles and had a spaceship WAY up in the sky...with a chainsaw!

Re: Anyone wanna play Land of the Dead?

Oh I see, I cant say to download it...okay, kinda strange though since we talk about homebrew here. Now that I think about it, we dont talk about downloading illegal games. Ok, i'll remember that.

Re: Anyone wanna play Land of the Dead?

Well it's fine now ;-)
Just keep in mind not to talk about downloading commercial games here, I don't know if Jake or Phil are cool with it.. Probably not, I don't think anyone is smile

Anyway, I was going through some game shops around here, and found the game big_smile
I also bought the movie "George Romero's Land of the Dead", but haven't watched it yet..

I've played through the first level at the farm now, and the game is cool, although I don't really like running out of ammo all the time..
I haven't tried the multiplayer though, do you have your own server or do you play at someone's server?

I'll try to find the patch now and install it.

By the way, do you have Messenger?

EDIT: Ah, here is the patch for anyone in need:

Re: Anyone wanna play Land of the Dead?

Yeah, the single player isn't as fun as the multiplayer. I usually just join servers with a cool sounding map. When I make my own server (I do it once a day, I go on around 7-8pm), it's called MadSkeetElite Server. The movie was OKAY, but not as good as the game. I don't use messenger much but I use Steam, which has chat. I could re-download MSN Messenger if you want. Email me at MadSkeetElite@gmail.com or look at signature for Steam name. Glad you got it! How much was the game/movie and where were at?
