Zorpe Hosting Closing Down!

All websites hosted on Zorpe will be deleted within two weeks.  Back up all of your content! We need to move to a profesional server.  If you need me to backup your website for you, post here.  I will then email you the backup.  Then Zorpe should be back in major develepment.  But I will delete all the hosted sites.!!!

Aww man!  I was just getting into actually putting my site together >.> Oh well, does this mean we're getting that massive storage you were talking about a little while back?

Re: Zorpe Hosting Closing Down!

No.
But You will definitly have enough storage smile

Im gunna start with around 20 gigs because I can manage to get that for under 50 bucks a month.  But im only gunna be on a VPS rather than a dedicated server.  A good dedicated server could be about a thousand dollars a month!  But you will also be paid each post you make!!!  Yes, in real money!

Re: Zorpe Hosting Closing Down!

Err, its not anything major.  All paid to post sites pay low because with thousands of posts a day... that ads up to be tons of money.  I think Ill stick with 2 cents per post and 4 cents per reply.  Anyone is in wink  And its not really a job but just for extra fun!  But ill try to have competitions or lottery system.

Re: Zorpe Hosting Closing Down!

why are you buying a vps to host ppl w/ 20 gigs of space for free?  And unless your're expecting ALOT of traffic, why were you even considering a dedicated server?  Maybe i'm not fully understanding what you're doing big_smile.

Re: Zorpe Hosting Closing Down!

Ill try to explain.
Most people do not upload much on websites.  For a personal website, most people use around 10 megabytes.  And you just give them a gig and oversell the rest.  My host is perfect to oversell with because then if people do use a lot of space, I can easily add a gig of disk space.  But I expect you guys to use more space to upload psp stuff ect.  But thats not all so... cough cough mybb hosting too =P.  Im basically having a big system where you get credits to post.

Re: Zorpe Hosting Closing Down!

Yeah, I knew it wasnt a job, was just playing around. As long as we get a good server without many problems, im cool with that. Any idea on how long the downtime will be?

Re: Zorpe Hosting Closing Down!

Actually I never officially released hosting.  I was just starting.  And it may be a while till I get it sorted out.  And just getting the forum setup can take weeks too months.  It needs to be modded a lot wich means I need to hire a coder possibly.  Plus I have a few exams still and school.  Dont expect anything soon.  But I paid my months of overdue payments for the current zorpe.  In this case, im not gunna delete the websites im hosting now. Because im just not using my current shared server now!

Re: Zorpe Hosting Closing Down!

sad Im not happy when I say this.  But I have no choice.  I will be busy during the summer and wont be able to make the hundreds of dollars I need.  VPS is not expensive alone but they will fee you if you dont pay the invoice within 24 hours ect.,  I cannot do this alone.  I however will still have a website called Zorpe.  Im sorry guys :'(

I wish I could maintain it.

Sorry. Sorry. Sorry.
