Like, do what? Downgrade your PSP without PB?

Re: Rollinroll's tutorials --install 3.80 M33--magic memorystick--and more
Of course you can't make M33 to work without a PB. The Sony firmware security is so tight that no exploits have been found recently, and nobody is even looking for them because PB can downgrade ANY PSP.

Re: Rollinroll's tutorials --install 3.80 M33--magic memorystick--and more
Well, some more info would be helpful. First off, what type of PSP battery is this? Fat or Slim? Cause you have a few options should you chose to open it up. Give me some more info and i'll see how I can help.

Re: Rollinroll's tutorials --install 3.80 M33--magic memorystick--and more
Yes you can turn a regular battery into a Pandora... You can either soft-mod it (by changing the internal serial, but you need a downgraded PSP) or you can hard-mod it (open it up and cut a pin).

Re: Rollinroll's tutorials --install 3.80 M33--magic memorystick--and more
Actually Jax, the hard-mod method has a few different ways of doing so. Certain phat batteries cannot be hard-modded, since the pin you need to cut is not there. There are 3 kinds of phat batteries from what I know, 2 of which can be hard-modded. I had one that could not be hard-modded, so I asked a friend who had an old model battery, which only needed a wire connected to two points to be a Pandora battery. I'll give some links later on when i find them.

Hmm, are you talking about Sony batteries, or did you count unofficial batteries as well? There are many unofficial batteries that cannot be hardmodded...

Re: Rollinroll's tutorials --install 3.80 M33--magic memorystick--and more
Question, on the first few steps,
1. Download TOTALNewbi easyInstaller from here: http://dl.qj.net/TOTALNewbi-easyInstall … /catid/193
2. Unpack the rar archive to aywhere you like and run START.exe.
3. Follow the instructions until you come to the step where you can choose what to install on your memorystick.
4. Choose "Universal Unbricker"
5. When it's finished installing the files on your memorystick then it will ask you to write some sector stuff on the memorystick, let it do it or the memorystick won't work.
6. When it says finished, take the memorystick out of your psp.
7. Turn off your psp.
I have to be plugged in to the computer, and on, right?

Hold down the R button while you turn the PSP on. Make sure you've turned the PSP off by holding the power switch up for a few seconds first, you know instead of putting the PSP in sleep mode.
