Rounded hitTests
If I have a Rounded part, like a corner or a hill, how do I make that hitTest solid? When converted to a MC, it becomes square and gives the invisible death box...

Re: Rounded hitTests
This is where ShapeFlag comes into use. Check on "MovieClip.hitArea". This is extremely slow, however and should not be used, at least not often. Another way of doing it is putting small boxes next to the corner that you use hitTest on. Still another is the almighty tile-based system.

Re: Rounded hitTests
I think I might get into tilebased...it's really confusing for me.

Re: Rounded hitTests
It was for me at first too. I might make a tutorial after awhile and put in on p22 forums. (a bit too matter-of-fact?)

Re: Rounded hitTests
No that's cool. I could put it on the Tutorials tab too.
