[Release] Hot Mine Pursuit!

Use the arrow keys and dodge the spinning spikes. Post your high score here!

Made this in about 30 minutes, not much, but it's great to finally have the power of Flash MX 2004....

It would be nice to add to the site as well.

Re: [Release] Hot Mine Pursuit!

I'm afraid I don't. There's around 2 minutes of game play before you get bored. All you have to do is move the guy around in a circle and the mines won't hit you. It's too basic for my liking.

Erm, none of the games on this site are really long games. The point is to make them short repetitive games (I'm guessing, since all of them are.)

Hmm...pretty good, but maybe make different modes? Like, one where you have to get a certain ammount of points to advance to a new level..or survival, where you just have to stay alive as long as you can.

Yeah, I might when I can scrounge and find my source file.

Re: [Release] Hot Mine Pursuit!

The difference is Jfig that the repetitive games on this site usually require some kind of problem solving or quick thinking. Here all you need to do is continue to repeatedly press the arrow keys in a clockwise or anti-clockwise sequence and that's it. I'm not trying to criticise your ability to code or anything but there isn't really enough user engagement here to constitute a game in my opinion.

Re: [Release] Hot Mine Pursuit!

I don't know if this would work. But what if you could shoot the enemies by using the cursor as the target. So basically while moving around you could move the cursor to where ever and that would be the direction of fire.

Each level could still have only 3 enemies to start but they would take more hits to kill.

Re: [Release] Hot Mine Pursuit!

try moving the cursor whist using the arrow keys. Not so easy...
