Help set a Guinness World Record!

Ok, so this morning I started Firefox, and at the bottom, there was this little note that said "Help set a Guinness World Record by downloading Firefox 3! Learn more." I was interested, so I pledged. All you have to do to help set the record is pledge yourself using the link at the bottom of the post, and they'll send you an E-mail letting you know when 'Download day' comes. It is on that day that you have to download Mozilla Firefox 3. Join in if youre interested!

Re: Help set a Guinness World Record!

IE has many serious security vulnerabilities, it is too close to the Windows structure (uses the same files as Windows, it is located in C:/WINDOWS/ etc.), it is much slower, it doesn't open many sites which Firefox opens without a hitch, it breaks some types of HTML code, it has a crappy logo and name and it just sucks. big_smile

i don't know what makes people use ie is it that microsoft trapped it into the system

maybe microsoft should make firefox the default browser in the next version of windows so that people realise how rubbish internet explorer is

Re: Help set a Guinness World Record!

I think that noobs, liek my mother uses IE because it is integrated into windows and you can't even uninstall it, they don't know what a internet browser is they just thinks IE as "Well, this is the internet." if you see what i mean.

Re: Help set a Guinness World Record!

I got tired of Messenger opening all the e-mails in IE, so I replaced iexplore.exe in C:/WINDOWS/ with firefox.exe, but it didn't work tongue

And I don't have a backup... Who cares.

why don't you just put it back in the folder wher you found iexplorer.exe then it should work again

Re: Help set a Guinness World Record!

IE is just plain out horrible, Firefox is faster and its pop up blocker actually works.

popup blockers never work properly unless you change the settings to high

Re: Help set a Guinness World Record!

Hmm, anyone else getting this? On Qj.net, clicking links will sometimes give me an 'Address not found' error. However, If I refresh, it loads the page.
