Broken Analogue

My analogue pad it broken.

There is no nub, BUT that isn't the main problem.

The problem is that the little pad that it rests on goes round in circles on the outside edge and generally doesn't work.

I want to know if anyone else had this problem.

Re: Broken Analogue

Uhh, I dont exactly get the problem..as shadow said, some pictures would be nice. Does the analogue move on its own, or just not responding at all? Or is it hardware related?
If its a problem with the actual analogue mechanism, than you're gonna have to investigate it. If its just moving on its own and you have no control over it, than you have 2 options. One is on coldboot, rotate the analogue in a circular motion until the XMB shows.. Two is to format flash1 from the recovery menu.

Re: Broken Analogue

Those analogue things (which include also the nub) are cheap, they cost about 13 euros here if you order online.

Re: Broken Analogue

Well a few pictues won't do.

Put it this way.

The system is regsitering the analogue as being down.

You can adjust to move left and right, but not up (even if you push it up which requiers effort). the thing the nub sits on spins around.

I made an example. It isn't very clear.

Re: Broken Analogue

Oh ok, I think I get it now...The system thinks the analogue is in a downward position, and in turn moves it down, correct? If so, follow what I said before (format flash1 or rotate the analogue on coldboot)and you should be good. Same thing happened to me when I opened my PSP to fiddle around in it. I put everything back together, went to the web browser, and the thing was just going wherever it felt like going. Hope Ive been of help.

If I understood correctly, the WHOLE PSP-analog moves around inside the PSP?
