The only thing you can do is to use pandoras battery to install custom firmware.

Well, it's the only thing you can do so... Or there is 1 other way to do it too but it will almost cost as much as the psp and is very advanced. It is modchipping.

And modchips are almost useless these days. You are just risking your PSP to get broken IDStorage.
My friend bought the Undiluted Platinum chip for his TA-079 and when he took the modchip to be installed, the shop owner told him that they don't install chips because they break easily and they are useless. So, he got the PSP back with 3.52 M33-2 and they charged a lot of the "installation".
