wiiflashgaming and motion sensing games

You may know that we also own wiiflashgaming.com, unfortunatly I do not own a wii yet but will be getting one soon hopefully however i have found out something which will potentially make this bigger than we had thought. You can use the wii remote on a pc as long as you have bluetooth on your pc. This is because the way in which the remote connects to the wii is via a bluetooth connection. I think there is some software needed but its already available to use a wii remote on the pc. This therefore means motion sensing flash games can theoretically be made for the pc.

I have also been developing a flash aplication that detects motion in a web cam much like the eye toy for ps2, so although not related to the wii there is potental for some flash games completely different to any already existing.

I am thinking of releasing a game using the web cam motion sensing I have developed but I am not sure when, and there is no way it would work on a psp even if the eye toy that is coming out can be detected by the flash.

I look forward to making some motion sensing games and if anyone would like to make some I will be kind enough to at least lead them in the correct direction when it comes to the web cam, the wii remote will probaby use the mouse.

They hav to make a strip, They are getting sued (or however you spell sood) becouse people are accidentaly letting go of the controllers and they are breaking the tv's! It was on the news!

But isn't the strap removable like the one on the psp's?

Nintendo are doing a voluntary recall of 3.2 million straps on the wiimote and all newer versions ship with a stronger strap. Check this out if you don't know what we are talking about http://www.wiidamage.com/

Ok, you can accidentaly release the controller, And then the strap will hold it. I  think it was ment to "survive" (replace the world please smile ) those kinds of accidents. The only way i imagine the situation is if the gamer holds to the strap and spinns it over his head like a chaincub

Re: wiiflashgaming and motion sensing games

hehe

I can imagine two players playing one of those games against each other and then the loser would get angry and beat up the winner with the controller xD

And you definetly shouldn't do something like this with your Wii remote:

Re: wiiflashgaming and motion sensing games

I guess when you get really frusterated with a wii game, you start to swing really hard with the remote, kind of how you start to press the buttons really hard on a ps2 or psp and even sometimes through the controller! That's how thay let go, but come one people... Is it that hard to hold something?
