Screen issue

I have a problem with my screen on my slim. After I dl'd 3.80, I'd get random freeze to self reboot...something would pop just below the screen just before rebooting. That has stopped, but I have this annoying vertical line in my screen...which is really only notable when the screen goes grey or other light colors.
Is there any fix, or do I have to send it to Sony?
Thank you for any input.

Re: Screen issue

As long as your warrenty is in tact then just send off because I dont think the line is to do with the FW. Though hear out everyone first.

Oh try reinstalling.

Re: Screen issue

I didn't think it had much to do with the FW...it just seemed it started with the update and the game I started (SH:Origins) caused something to blow. I really don't want to have to send it off (beware of PSP withdraw)...but I suspect that is my only choice short of turning this one in to GameStop for a rebate on a new one.

Bah. Thanks for your help.

Re: Screen issue

Um hum. Screen repairs arent worth it. Was there black borders on SH? If so might not be covered by warrenty.

That happens. Every time my PSP freezes, and I restart it, the screen it was on when it froze pops up very rapidly and then disappears and my PSP reboots. Don't worry about it, it's normal.

If I were you, I would send it to Sony or return it to where you bought it. There's nothing you could lose, except precious PSP playing time ^^

These days, almost everything is covered by warranty. Big companies make products, which they know wont last long. That's why warranty was invented in the first place.

Re: Screen issue

If the screen gets many dead pixels at once, without the user doing anything to the screen, then I think that the warranty covers it.
