NetPlay PSP flash games?
Do you reckon it would be possible to make a PSP flash game that is NetPlay able? This would add a whole new perspective...
EDIT: Obviously turn based.

Re: NetPlay PSP flash games?
Hmmm...
I remember phil said he was working on one but it was soooo slow that is was unplayable but here's another idea: Turn based games is possible with Javascript or PHP and that won't make it slow. I think phil has some skills with things like that so i think he might be able to make a turn based PHP or Javascript online game.

Mmm I know that PHP and JS both and be combined (or not) to make online games. Thoug I am sick of those. I like flashes interactivity. I was just wondering wheather it was possible or if it was done. Now I know it has been tried and failed so no point with that.

Re: NetPlay PSP flash games?
Nope, hasn't been tried yet - Jake and me were planning to make a turn based game involving tanks and stuff. It's certainly very doable - won't be slow either as all that's required is to load variables in via a text file.
However, doable doesn't = easy. Ingredients for this type of game are:
User registration system (tick)
SQL Database (tick)
DB tables to be set up
PHP scripts to extract relevant info from DB and print in a file that flash can understand
A flash game that can ask for the right PHP vars and then process that text file to produce sensible results.
So in other words, unless you're got your own server with those nice things, I'm going to have to do the server side coding which isn't going to happen any time soon I'm afraid (final year in uni and all that)
