Re: New and Improved, Hamburger Dodge!

Jumping actually make this game easier because you can reach the coins faster. Since the coins appear right at the disappearance of another, it gets your score up faster.

It is better than Boulder Dash but I thought it was boring I don't like games like that.

boulder dash is horrible. hamburger dodge is top notch simple avoid-the-hamburgers type of games.

Re: New and Improved, Hamburger Dodge!

Jfig this is his game thread it is not for moovlin,
Hence why the title of the thread is "New and Improved Hamburger Dodge!" not "Moovlin 7"
In my opinion the hamburger game is better than that moovlin game even though it is far more simple it has a better replay value,
Also Shin you should add achievements to make it more fun and add difficulty modes then host it on Newgrounds to see what people think.

I don't like this type of game but if you add certain things to make it new and innovative it could be fun,
I do like the graphics they are very nostalgic for me as they are retro,
Although this game wouldn't sell on the SNES it is 16-Bit,
The graphics look 8-Bit so it should sell on the good old NES.

That's not true, if you're talking about Moovlin, you're talking about the entire series, all the episodes. They were all supposed to be combined, but I had to split them up because of file size.

If you had noticed, we did start a conversation.

Re: New and Improved, Hamburger Dodge!

Hamburger dodge is so far my favourite PSP flash game on this site. I love the fact that you took time to make simple, but yet very effective pixel graphics - instead of horrible vector-based. (counting the vector locations eat framerate). I loved the RPG test also. Did you use tile-engine?

I've been doing some tile-engine tests, but none of them has worked on PSP - even though they work on PC. I would like to know more about how you did it.

Wonderfull game with thought visuals. I would like to see more games like this.

Calamity RPG status: Back on track. Wonder where it leads.

Re: New and Improved, Hamburger Dodge!

Thanks!(I think i've said thanks like 100 times now... tongue)

Anyway, HankJFox, I'm not that advanced, i dont use tile-based. I have tryed it but, seeing as I am very lazy, i couldn't really be bothered.
I don't know why it doesn't work on the psp. Sorry! I think it might be the actionscript, because my first hamburger dodge doesn't even work.

Re: New and Improved, Hamburger Dodge!

great game i like the 8bit style it would be good as a platformer smile

in response to your other post that got locked to make it run faster you need to reduce the frame rate increase it its having it at a high frame rate thats making it laggy also put this in the actionscript to have it use low quality. because hamburger dodge is pixel style it wont make any difference to the way it looks but it should make it run faster.

_root._quality = "LOW";
