Got 3.71 m33-2.

So my friend got me 3.71 m33-2 on my slim now.  Should I upgrade to a newer version?  If so which ver. and where can I find it.  I'm not sure of the pros and cons of the diff versions.

I think you should update to 3.90 M33-3. It's the best custom firmware right now.

Or wait until the end of the week, Dark_Alex said that he's going to release 4.00 M33 by then.

Re: Got 3.71 m33-2.

Thats only in the official firmware, Dark_AleX is making up for what Sony can't do. Hackers FTW.  But I hope it isn't released this week. He better take a few extra days to make sure everything is finished and functions properly before he releases 4.0 M33.

My signature? Tis a silly thing to read.

Re: Got 3.71 m33-2.

We got something really good coming to us, (full) XMB recovery and savestates! They might not be released in 4.00 M33 though, maybe in like 4.00 M33-2 and so on.. Depends on how fast DAX releases the CFW.

I'm going out of town next week, I'm taking my laptop with me but I don't have internet there so I won't be able to install it if it doesn't come out by the end of the week. And I don't usually even install new CFWs right away, I wait first if people find problems.

Re: Got 3.71 m33-2.

I went ahead and got 3.9 m33-3.  I was scared that i was accidentally reinstalling official 3.9 when it went to the sony installer big_smile.  I really don't notice any difference beteween this and 3.71m33...then again i had 3.9 before i got cfw so im assuming it's for compatiblity?

Yeah, well if you change your region to Europe via recovery, you can use GO!Messenger, and if you are using a Slim you will have access to Skype. But that's about it.
