Erm, no... It's Pherlum, it is a good weight and it balances to magnetic fields.

Are you just trying to be negative now? neutral

Or, perhaps you are understanding constructive criticism a bit wrong? tongue

Friggen Pherlum can balance....

Zuriki, you've probably spent more time flaming me then you have worked on your own project.

I don't want to start another breakdown from you, but you seriously need to stop this.

You haven't one positive for any of my games without me telling you too, which is sad, really.

Im with Jax on this one..
Back ontopic: I agree with Dezerith, the text is too dark, and blends in with the background..Make the text brighter, so its easy on the eyes =P Other than that good start on it.

It sounds like you want me to have a go at you.

Maybe I wouldn't flame if your games looked like there was effort in them not just the same old platformer engine but with different graphics.

"You haven't one positive for any of my games without me telling you too, which is sad, really."

Zuriki is entitled to his opinion. Quite why it is so important for you to receive good feedback from Zuriki I have no idea and you are over reacting! I could understand if   Zuriki had said the graphics looked like they had been drawn by a three year old without arms but he only said that the character should have legs. Other people have said this but why don't you push them for positive feedback?

This is getting annoying. Zuriki is entitled to his opinion and as long as he remains civil with his arguments then I think there is nothing we should do to prevent him from posting; it is after all a basic right that we all should have here.

It appears Jfig is taking unintended offense at every criticism Zuriki makes. I think you both need to realise that you are both at fault. If Jfig is going to over react then maybe Zuriki should consider his words before posting. Similarly, Jfig should focus on the intended meaning of Zuriki's post before taking offense and whining about it.

Seriously, this is getting on my nerves now. I can't do anything about it but there needs to be a change and I doubt that only one of you will make it so it needs to come from both of you.

Re: Operation IceShine - From jfig111 and pspflashgaming.com

I have stated that, multiple times over, I would let my opinions be heard I do not care if you take them into account or not.

But if you make a personal attack on me or twist my words so it looks although I have personally attacked you, I will not standby whilst you do so.

Re: Operation IceShine - From jfig111 and pspflashgaming.com

How many threads have been ruined from you clan, Jeez....

Dezerith constructivly posts, and critisizes. He has exact ideas for what to change as well, as well as lots of other people.

I know I can be an ass and annoying at times (I don't know how many times I've had to post that...), but it's sad that Zuriki can't come to understanding that he is wrong as well.

I take things the wrong way a bit as well, but hey, as another member said, it takes 2 wrongs to make a right.

So why don't we just settle this already:

I make flash games and don't intend for them to be top notch and perfect, just for them to be good enough for PSP, and not anything to complex.

It's like going and picking on a kid with downs syndrome, you can't really just go and tell them to be good looking and smart in a flash.

You don't laugh at people in wheelchairs either, do you?

Not that I'm disabled, but here:

I need to understand not to break out, and spend maybe at least an hour each day deciphering Zuriki's criticism , and....

Zuriki needs to spend some time trying to be in my shoes and see how I feel and actually read his comments over before he posts them.

Okay?

Yay, now please delete some of these "Off Topic" posts.

I'm doing this for free, you can't be pouting on it always.

Re: Operation IceShine - From jfig111 and pspflashgaming.com

Well I suppose "If you dont have anything nice to say..." rule could apply. But then we have lots of junk clogging everything. And noone would say/do anything.

You need my opinions more than I need you to hear them, even if that is a miniscule difference.

I swear I'll double check before I post but to be honest I am just being me. Ask Vertman if you want. I have a critical view point and its a oneway road.

So, even so we can be critical on each others works, can we just be friends?

That way I can suggest stuff to you as well, and now since I have Flash MX 2004, I can even help you with traveller!

Here, Look what I found:

onClipEvent(enterFrame){
    if(Key.isDown(Key.UP)){
        this._y -= 3;
    }else if(Key.isDown(Key.DOWN)){
        this._y += 3;
    }
    if(Key.isDown(Key.LEFT)){
        this._x -= 3;
    }else if(Key.isDown(Key.RIGHT)){
        this._x += 3;
    }
    if(_root.object.hitTest(_x+(_width/2),_y,true)){
        this._x -= 3;
    }
    if(_root.object.hitTest(_x-(_width/2),_y,true)){
        this._x += 3;
    }
    if(_root.object.hitTest(_x,_y+(_height/2),true)){
        this._y -= 3;
    }
    if(_root.object.hitTest(_x,_y-(_height/2),true)){
        this._y += 3;
    }
}

Put this on your moving sprite, you can take the movement codes away, it's just there for testing.

"Object" is your hittest thing, so draw like a maze or something and your guy can walk through it even if it isn't a square.

It works pretty well, best I could find.

If you want irregular shape testing none of that'll work.
Check out GSkinner's irregular hitTesting.

I found it when i needed something miniscule but necesary for my new game.
